V&P repair

Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Services

We offer repair services for appliances, including diagnostics, part replacements, and labor. Our services cover a wide range of appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and more.

2. Payment Terms

Payment for services is due in full upon completion of the repair or diagnostic. We accept payments via credit/debit cards, checks, cash or other agreed-upon methods. If payment is not made at the time of service, additional fees may apply.

3. Bad Check Charge

Any dishonored check or bank draft will be subject to a $25 processing fee in addition to the total amount due. The customer agrees to pay this fee if the check or draft is not honored for any reason (e.g., insufficient funds, closed account).

4. Collection Fees

The customer agrees that in the event this invoice is placed in the hands of a collection agency or attorney for collection or legal action, the customer will be responsible for any additional charges incurred. These charges include the costs of collection, attorney’s fees, and any court costs, as permitted by applicable law.

5. Service Call

A Service Call is defined as the visit of a qualified technician to the customer’s location upon request. The service call includes the time required to travel to the customer’s premises and to analyze the appliance issue in order to prepare an estimate of the labor and parts required for the repair.

If the customer declines to proceed with the repair after the technician has provided the estimate or simply chooses not to have the unit repaired, the customer is still responsible for the service call charge.

The service call charge will cover the cost of dispatching the technician and the evaluation provided during the visit.

6. Intermittent Condition

There is no labor warranty on any unit with an intermittent problem. An intermittent problem is defined as one that does not consistently manifest during our inspection. Since the problem is not always apparent, it cannot be traced or diagnosed reliably unless it occurs during the technician’s evaluation. We cannot guarantee the resolution of intermittent issues without being able to trace and observe the problem when it occurs.

7. Warranty on Repairs

Parts Warranty: All parts provided and installed by us are covered by a 6-month warranty starting from the date of repair completion, in compliance with the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.

Labor Warranty: Labor for repairs is guaranteed for 3 months from the service completion date.

The warranty applies only to the specific parts and services provided. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligence, unauthorized alterations, or external causes such as power surges or natural disasters.

8. Exclusions from Warranty

Our warranties do not cover:

Incidental or consequential damages (such as lost profits or appliance downtime).

Repairs necessitated by misuse or unauthorized modifications to the appliance after service.

Issues unrelated to the original service performed.

9. Limitation of Damages

In the event that repairs are not successful, our liability for damages, including consequential damages, is limited to the amount actually paid by the customer for the repair. We will not be held responsible for any damages exceeding the amount of the repair charges.

10. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances such as part availability or technician scheduling conflicts.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts and/or the cost of labor provided under the service. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost income or personal injury caused by the appliance.

12. Compliance with California Law

Our services adhere to the California Civil Code (Title 1.7, Part 4, Division 3, Chapter 1) concerning consumer warranties. This includes honoring all implied warranties where applicable, and ensuring that our warranty periods align with state regulations.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, specifically adhering to the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. Any disputes arising from these terms will be settled under California jurisdiction.

14. Service Scheduling and Availability

We make every effort to complete repairs promptly. However, service schedules are subject to change based on the availability of parts and unforeseen circumstances. We will inform you of any delays as soon as
